1. Platform Role Huisku operates as a technology platform that facilitates job distribution and communication between Property Managers (or Hosts) and independent service providers. Huisku does not directly provide cleaning, maintenance, or other operational services.
2. Independent Contractor Relationship Providers operate as independent businesses. Huisku does not control the manner, timing, or tools used in job execution. Providers are not entitled to employment benefits or protections and are solely responsible for tax and insurance obligations.
3. Use of Subcontractors Providers may use subcontractors or assistants, provided that:
The Provider ensures their quality and professionalism.
All work is completed under the Provider’s responsibility.
Subcontractors are properly insured and authorized to work.
4. Job Acceptance and Fulfillment Providers may choose which jobs to accept. Once a job is accepted, the Provider is expected to complete it professionally and reliably. Repeated cancellations, late arrivals, or failure to complete jobs may lead to deactivation from the platform.
5. Quality and Conduct All services must be performed to industry standards and with professional conduct. Any reports of misconduct, damage, theft, or inappropriate behavior will be investigated and may lead to suspension or termination.
6. Fees and Payouts Payouts are made after job completion, via Stripe or invoice, minus any applicable platform fees.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payouts are aggregated and processed once per calendar month, provided the total amount exceeds €100. If the minimum threshold is not met, the payout will be carried over to the following month.
Payment timelines and minimum payout thresholds are communicated through the Provider Dashboard. Providers must keep their payment details up to date.
7. Recurring Subscription Fees Providers who use the platform with their own customers may be subject to monthly subscription fees, as defined in the current Pricing Document. These fees are billed monthly and must be paid on time to maintain access to the platform. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.
8. Cancellation and No-Show Policy Providers must notify both the Host or Property Manager and Huisku of any cancellations or changes to availability as early as possible.
Cancellations made with less than two (4) hours’ notice, or failure to appear at the job location without communication, may be treated as a no-show.
In the event of a no-show without acceptable justification, the Provider may be charged a penalty fee equal to three times the value of the affected job per incident. Repeated incidents (e.g., two or more within a 30-day period) may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
9. Non-Circumvention and Exclusivity The Provider agrees not to solicit, accept, or perform any services, whether directly or indirectly, for any Host or Property Manager introduced via the Huisku platform outside of the Huisku platform for a period of 12 months following the most recent job facilitated through the platform with that Host or Property Manager.
Any attempt to circumvent the platform, including but not limited to off-platform payments, direct outreach, or redirection of communication channels, may result in immediate account termination and Huisku reserving the right to seek legal remedies, including but not limited to damages and injunctive relief.
10. Insurance Requirements Providers are expected to carry general liability insurance and any mandatory work insurance (e.g., workers' compensation) required by law. Proof of insurance may be requested.
11. Tax Compliance Providers are solely responsible for reporting and remitting any taxes arising from payments received via Huisku.
12. Data and Privacy Providers consent to the collection and processing of relevant operational data (e.g., job performance, communication records) in accordance with Huisku's Privacy Policy.
13. Platform Conduct Abuse of the platform, including fraud, manipulation of ratings, misrepresentation of services, or attempts to bypass Huisku’s systems, may result in permanent removal.
All communication between Providers and Hosts or Property Managers must occur through Huisku’s platform tools unless otherwise approved in writing by Huisku. Providers are strictly prohibited from sharing personal contact details, external payment methods, or attempting to arrange services or transactions outside the platform.
Any violation of this policy may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
14. Dispute Resolution Disputes should be resolved directly between the Provider and the client. Huisku may assist in limited cases but is not responsible for mediating payment or performance issues.
15. Modification and Updates These Terms may be updated by Huisku from time to time. Providers will be notified of material changes, and continued use constitutes agreement to those changes.
16. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved by the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus) as the court of first instance.
17. Audit and Verification Huisku reserves the right to request proof of business registration, valid insurance coverage, tax compliance, or other documentation necessary to verify the Provider’s status as an independent business. Failure to provide requested documentation may result in account suspension or termination.
18. Performance Ratings and Minimum Standards Huisku may track Provider performance using job ratings, completion rates, and customer feedback. Providers must maintain a minimum quality threshold as communicated in the Provider Dashboard. Huisku reserves the right to remove or suspend Providers who do not meet minimum standards.
19. Publicity and Platform Promotion Huisku may feature Providers’ names, logos, profile images, and performance ratings in platform communications, search results, or promotional materials.
Providers who wish to opt out may do so at any time by sending written notice to support@huisku.com or via the platform settings panel.
20. No Guarantee of Work Access to the platform does not guarantee the assignment of jobs. Job availability depends on demand, location, ratings, and other platform criteria. Providers agree that they are not entitled to a minimum amount of income or job frequency.
21. Job Ownership and Disputes All services performed are governed by a direct agreement between the Provider and the Host or Property Manager. Huisku is not liable for any service failures, property damage, payment disputes, or conflicts arising between the parties, except where Huisku expressly elects to intervene.
22. Governing Language This Agreement and all documents referenced are executed in English. In case of conflict between translations, the English version shall prevail.
23. Intellectual Property All rights, title, and interest in and to the Huisku platform, including but not limited to its software, branding, features, content, documentation, and any derivative works, are and shall remain the exclusive property of Huisku Oy.
Service Providers are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the platform solely for providing services through Huisku.
Providers shall not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the platform or its elements. Any data, content, reviews, communications, or performance metrics generated through the use of the platform may be used by Huisku for operational, legal, analytical, and marketing purposes in accordance with applicable laws and the Huisku Privacy Policy.
